Cristina grew up in a bi-lingual family in Hudson County, New Jersey. She and her husband, Lee, currently live in Fuquay Varina. Having recently sent the last of their senior pets to the Rainbow Bridge: Shadow, 16.5yrs, a black lab mix dog that was rescued near a dumpster on a busy road in 2002, and Hampton, 17yrs, an orange cat that was rescued from a hotel parking lot in 2004, Cristina is now hoping to use this “Empty Nester” status to volunteer with organizations that may take her away from home for extended periods of time. Her most recent experiences included a week-long Public Health/Veterinary Mission Trip to Honduras, in addition to helping the ASPCA with their efforts assisting animals affected by Hurricane Florence. When not working or volunteering, Cristina and Lee enjoy spending time outdoors, participating in local animal friendly events, or simply staying at home, watching television and relaxing.
