Lauren Hughes Connolly, DVM

Dr. Lauren Hughes Connolly graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduating, she moved back home to Connecticut where she started practice and met her husband who was in submarine school at the time. They then moved to Virginia Beach where he was stationed. After her husband got out of the Navy he went to medical school in Orlando and then residency in Philadelphia. They moved to Marquette, Michigican in 2019 with their three children and Rocky, a terrier mix.  Dr. Lauren and her children relocated to North Carolina in June 2022.

Dr. Lauren loves all aspects of veterinary medicine. She is particularly passionate about shelter medicine, behavior and fear free initiatives. She enjoys talking with and educating clients. Dr. Connolly is also interested in the link between domestic violence and animal abuse and is finishing a graduate certificate in veterinary forensics through the University of Florida.

In her free time, she is working her even harder job of being a mom to three very active, bright kids. She can either be found at the rink, ski hill or soccer field. She also volunteers for MAPS, the Superior Health Foundation and Sasawin Safe Haven. She loves to travel, read, play sports and nap.
