Linda joined our team in November 2014.
After graduating from UNC-CH in 1999 with a degree in English, she tried using her degree with an insurance company but ultimately decided that working with animals was her first true love. She graduated from CCCC with a VMT degree in 2003 and has not looked back! She has worked in general practice, emergency, and specialty and loves the special relationship that is formed with pets and their people. Feline medicine is her favorite part of being a vet tech and she strives to create a low-stress, nurturing environment during vet visits. Cats are her #1 hobby outside of work, where she enjoys spending time with her own kitty children and volunteering with Operation Catnip to promote TNR of stray and feral cats. Linda is married to her high school sweetheart Adam and they enjoy a home together in Raleigh with their feline family.
Linda has a full time position with Mobile Laser Vet. She is responsible for patient comfort / anesthesia / doctor assistance during surgical procedures and in routine appointments ; dental cleaning and polishing; client communication and patient medications post-op; client education for patient care after diagnosis of a disease (ex – teaching clients to give insulin for Diabetics or SQ fluids for Kidney Disease); acquiring biologic samples; performing /submitting laboratory testing; and inventory management.
